is this dursco style easier and cleaner looking than the stockman style if you would have done it differently would you do a dursco

yes I would have, there easy to built and there's nothing in your tank but an elbow pointing down. You just have to be sure and get your hole drilled in your tank at the right place, because there's no adjustment for water level.

As stated I think the issue will be water level, but you could turn the elbow up and then the "U' for the durso. this will bring the water level higher in the tank and could be adjusted. With some creative street elbow use it could be pretty clean. Just don't drill to close to the top or sides......

Thanks Grub, slowly but surely getting there, my goal is to finish the canopy so I can get my lights on, once I do that I can switch everything over to that tank and finish up as I get time.

Hopefully within the next month I'll get the lights, I'm goning with the aquactinics constellation. Hows your tank doing Grub? did you get some stockmans put in?

yeah i made them and through them on the frag tank. comeing along sick. the only thing with the frag tank i have a heat issue. i have a 250w heater and the heats staying at 75 degrees. not good so i bought two 50w visi-therm heaters. so that should do the trick.

well I'm getting ready to make the big purchase this week, I'll be buy the 72" aquactinics constellation, the auto-top off system controller, aqua lifter pump, the closed loop pump, which I'm looking at the quite one 9000 for that, and the exaust fans for the canopy, does anyone have any recommendations for the fans on this size tank? such as brand, CFM needed.
I was looking at putting to in the back, which is open, have one blowing in on one side and one blowing out on the other.
