Hey guys, I have a 12 gallon bio-cube. It's been going great since I started it in mid January of 2007. <~~~~(Click the link)
So I recently changed out lights....both of them....both of them being the exact replacement bulbs that came factory...same watts, same kelvins.. Everything is stock on this tank. Anyway, I recently changed out both lights for regular maitenence, then about three weeks to a month goes by and the actinic ballast takes a dump. Scavanging for another, I find a brand new one here on SWF. Got it on the tank, then two weeks later, bam, it goes out again. What am I doing wrong??????? Could it be a bad bulb being too hard on the ballast?
I'm kinda up in arms at the moment and really dont know what to do. Is there an aftermarket ballast I can use that might be better quality?
Thanks for any help,
Joe
