Day two testing results. I read somewhere here in large tanks they dont really have to cycle because the water is more stable in large tanks:notsure: if someone havs more info on why i would like to hear.

Yes, DEFINITELY need to bump that salinity up...before anything goes in the tank!
What sort of filtration do you have...and live rock, live sand?
I disagree with the non-cycling bit. It is assuming you are always adding so little bioload relative to the tank volume that there won't be a spike....but what if something 'big' dies? For me, you just don't have the same secure feeling as if you "pushed" the tank hard. So I would push it with some shrimp, food, etc. I like to see some ammonia spike in there....but I suppose if you have lots of LR you never will. If you can get by with leaving a bunch of decaying shrimp in there a few days without sign of ammonia, then you might be able to get away with having a big fish die without fretting about it until you can get it out!

i have about 8 lbs of live rock in it now and seeded it with 3 cups of sand from my 75gal. When i think it cycles i will put the rest of my sand from the 75 al. about 60lbs. and the live rock thats in there about 80lbs. will get more the shrimp thing i can see if i out it in and it dont spike thats good.

I agree with ophiura, you still need to cycle. Just because it is a big tank, the cycle is to create the good bacteria and maybe you won't see a spike, but you still need the bacteria. I cycled my 110gal and ended up killing a green chromis because I put him in too soon.
