135 gallon

I just picked up a 135 with stand, filter, and heater for a grand total of $125
was this a good deal or was i ripped off

If the tank doesn't leak and hasn't had copper in it, then it was a great deal.

Well, it does sound like a really, really, good deal, but this is only the beginning I am sure you realize! It can be a bottomless hole, this hobby!
I got my 55gal tank with filter, light, heater , livestock, food, etc, etc, etc years ago for free from a buddy who was tired of the hobby (was FW, now SW) and I have spent so much money over the years, especially when I switched to SW, and then went reef.

its gonna be freshwater.
there hasnt been chemicals in it.
there is no leaks
im gonna buy some 1/4 inch acrylic and cut covers and buy a couple shoplights and ill be good to go

+1, if no copper, no leaks, and no severe scratches, good deal! I would def. get a new heater though, iwould worry about using a used one.
