135 options

Whats up everyone? I just upgraded to a new 240 gallon FOWLR, and now I need ideas for my 135 that is just begging to be filled.
So far I am playing with the following ideas...
Fresh water stingrays and arowana's
or
Saltwater eels and maybe a large predator or two. I'm sure I know which way everyone will lean here  , but what type of eels and large fish could co-exist in a tank that size? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply, I did consider a reef but with the money I just put into the 240, I don't want to get into one right now. The greens' get about 7 feet right, I dont' know if the 135 would be big enough. Would a large volitan work in an eel tank. Can I keep anything else with an octopus?

ok well I am biased I rasied arowana forever, and if you have upgraded your salt tank to a 240, id say do the arowana and rays, that was my favorite of my fresh tanks....

TRAITOR!!!! lol j/k
Eels don't really need that much swimming space, as they like to hide out beneath rock and whatnot. The voltan and eels should be ok in a tank together too. That would be a sweet tank, IMO!

octo's cant live with anyting with teeth... thats tho only down side.. but like i said they are different and really neat to watch... ohh and u also gotta watch out for them a little.. cuzz they are curious lil dudes.. they crawl out of the tank if these is a opening.. ( i think it's somthing like if it's beak can fit then it's whole body can fit..)

Also octo's don't live very long, I read on the internet that it's only like 1-2 years (the site could have been inaccurate, but that is what I read)

you can make it a kool seahorse tank (with pipes, gobies, blennies, dragonets ect.)...for the eel i really like tesselata...i would start with a zebra they are very docile you can have a lion with a zebra.

How about a picasso or clown trigger? i used to hate triggers, i thought they were sooo ugly, but they've grown on me. Maybe some sort of puffer... I love the porcupine ones... When you look at their faces, they look like gremlins or furby's!!! I love it!!!
This is starting to sound like my dream 200 gallon tank... only i'm getting sharks instead!!! Bamboo sharks! They're soooo cool!

Jen,
I have a clown trigger and a large porc. puffer in the 240. I would like a queen or maybe titan trigger, but I had a niger rip the fins from a dwarf lion in the past so I am not keen on placing triggers with lions. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've never had a trigger, so i don't know how aggressive they are. I did see one at the Rainforest Cafe in Chicago, and it was soo cool! It had teeth like a hamster. If they're not compatible with lions, though, i won't get one either. My hubby wants the lionfish really really bad!
