On the contrary PECTO ISallowed to take out dead fish immediately after they have died, they only have to record the fish that died to keep up their inventory. If that manager actually told you they keep them in the tank for a couple days, you may want to look a little further into it, though I have doubts that a manager would say that, yet, anything is possible.
