quick question, it has been a few years since i have had a tank, and my memory is telling me a 14g oceanic biocube should only hold 1 occeleris clown, is this true, or is 2 OK
i am fine with having just one fish if that is all the 14g can hold
I have a tank running right now that is about two years old, about 1.5in deep of sand and 18lbs of LR has pair of black false percs and bubble tip. Been going for almost three months now with those inhabitants and everything has been fine. I know eventually the anemone will outgrow the tank im already prepared for that but fish wise they do fine.
We have a 14G Oceanic BioCube with 2 Clownfish, a small Goby and Cleaner Shrimp (and small CUC).
We also have about 1.5" sand bed and 15-20lbs LR. You should be fine, especially if you add an anemone (IMO get a bubble tip).
You should be absolutely fine with 2 Perculas.
I love 14G nanos, they're so fun. Good luck.
thanks for the input.
i do remember my LFS said it was for salt water it was 5 gal of water for every inch of fish (maximum size). since occ. clowns get up to 3 inches, i would need 15gal. since i have only 14gal, the 1 clown would be slightly more then max.
i also dont have a backup for when things grow. this will be my only tank for the foreseeable future
