have a delay on the sunsupply tek fixture... the unit was shipped and doesnt work. I believe it is due to the ballast. So no great lighted tank yet!

The pH lowered it self down... or my test kit started working properly cuz it was saying it was CRAZY high!!
I am actually waiting to the TEK t5's i bought working. The 8x54w was shipped and when arrived was covered in more rust than I though and NO lights worked on it. I was thinking about having the seller just buy and send me the ballast but I am going to ask that he refunds me and I just ship it back to him.
I found a guy on a local forum that is selling the exact same model but the 6x54w. Would this work fine for my tank as well?

Very nice setup....alot of pump for a 150, but I like it!!!!!!!

I love it! The fish love it too! The current is really directed at the top because if it isnt it blows all the sand around :-(
But keeps the water surface choppy!

once again another day with no pictures, but did spend the day on the tank.
Added a Pinnatus Batfish (my absolute favorite), a Midas Blenny, and a 6 line wrasse!
Will have many pictures up of them tomorrow! I PROMISE! lol

Did you cycle your tank? I think I missed something here... you started your tank maybe 2 weeks and and you put fish last weekend?
Please check your parameters. My 150 with fully cured LR and LS had ammonia spike 3 weeks from start.

I started posting up here only 2-3 weeks ago but I let the tank cycle for about 4 weeks. I have tried not to rush into things... But thank you for the concern. My parameters have all be at zero and where at zero for a week and 1/2 before I added any fish!

I didnt add all the fish in at one time. The new addition was the pinnatus batfish. The midas has been there for about a week with the sixline! And YES i go to strictly. They have great fish from what I have seen. I havnt been able to find any other really good LFS in LB at all!
I did find a new service shop that is turning into a LFS down near signal hill called Age of Aquariums! You might want to check them out. They had a huge selection of fish! (but again they are just starting out)

from what I have researched he is extremely difficult to feed and to keep eating... anyone ever had experience with this type of Batfish?

I wouldn't get a bat fish. They are very hard to feed. Also, they need the same pH, day and night with no fluctuations. Also, keeping your alkalinity up would probably help as well.
Very tough fish to keep, IMHO.

I have been running my actinic/day lights (during the day), and at night I run my refugium flood light and have noticed my pH being maintained 24/7. But I could still be off by a little bit.
After all the research I have done, I am seriously thinking about taking back this beautiful fish. And maybe going with an Orbic Batfish, one that is more susceptible to eat.
I have also been told that these Pinnatus need to have very low light during the day, and 1/100 tend to eat or better yet THRIVE in an aquarium...
What do you guys think?
