Well, I found out today, becasue "I talked to someone that knows somethign about fish" at the LFS, and I didn't know I needed a filter, I was told that the backpack protien skimmer would do both. Yeap, I am a newbie. I got a lot for Live Rock and I have it setup, and will take pics of it soon. I hope it isn't too much. Can you have too much Live Rock ?

You don't NEED a filter. What type of setup are you doing? FO, FOWLR or reef?

LR/LS and a protein skimmer is all you need. A reef has a low bioload. If you stick to that, your all set.
