ok this is what i came up with.
250 lbs isnt thaaaat much. i have posted pics below to demonstrate the rock / swimming room and how empty the tank is with the existing fish ( [x] )
i also put in the size they are and / will be on the list (some guestimating):
[x] coral beauty 2.5" / 3"
[x] yellow wrasse, aka canary wrasse 4" / 4"
[x] longnose hawk 2.5" / 4"
[x] purple firefish goby rarely comes out, scared of the anthias 2"/2"
[x] pink square anthias 3" / 5.5"
[x] gold stripe marroon 1.5" / 5.5"
[x] lawnmower blenny (doent really count)
[q] blackcap basslett 1.5" / 3"
[q] 2 black ocellaris clowns 1.5" / 3" (x2)
[w] blueface angel juv 3" / 16"
[w] chevron tang juv 2" / 9" (?)
[w] blue hippo tang juv 1" / 10" (?)
[w] blonde naso tang juv 3" / 12" (?)
[?] flame angel juv 1" / 3"
so if all of these fish were in the tank now, thats only 30" of fish,
however , by the time they are all full grown, then it could be estimated at around 83" of fish.
if i go by the guideline of 1" / 3 gallons then my 150g should comfortably hold 50" of fish.
so therefor for a long time, the tank would be understocked, and gradually get to and slightly exceed the guideline limits as the fish grow. however with the years it will
take to get to that point i will likely upgrade/ or simply sell one of the larger fish, like the naso, and drop me back down to comfortable inchage.
does my theory 'hold water' ?
