150g

This is my 150g. It's not a very old tank, been up for about 3-4months and only about 1-2 months with the Halides/Refugium/Chiller/Good Sump. I say good sump because I was using my friends old 55g and just let water run through some small filtration and then go back into the tank. The Lighting is a "Outer Orbit" lighting system and has been working great. It is 72", has 3x150watt 10k Halides, 4x96watt actinics, and 8 Lunar lights. I have a Protein skimmer sittin in the sump, and don't know the dimensions of the sump... but it is also working great. The Refugium is by Ecosystem aquariums and is currently housing a mantis shrimp. I don't know exactly how much LR I have in the tank, between buying it and using some old rock from older tanks, I dont know.
Stock so far:
4 Green Chromis
Sailfin tang(Red Sea)
Yellow Coris Wrasse
Sleeper Goby
Small Zoo Frag
Small Pulsing Xenia Frag
Lots of LR
Lots of Sand
Refuge:
Neogonodactylus Wennerae, Mantis shrimp
Caulerpa Macro Algae
LR rubble (for mantis)
Baby pencil urchin
Now for some pics.

looks good. can we get some pics with just the lunar lights on? are they 1 or half watt?

I'm a bit indecisive and don't really know what other fish I would like to add. I was thinkin of 2 true percs and maybe 3 anthias 1 male and 2 female. What do you think/How much more do you think I could have in there?

Mine's doing great, only fish I'm a little worried about is my coris wrasse. He would sometimes freak out when the lights turned off/on and he would jump out of the water and hit the fixture. This has happened a few times, but not any recently. I think he may have gotten used to when they turn off/on.

Phoenix, how do you like the ecosystem sump/fuge? Is it the 36x18x16 size and are you using miracle mud?
My 180g is getting filled tomorrow and my wife and in-laws got me the ecosystem sump/fuge for Christmas. It seems like most people who have them like the system but ive read some things on other boards that the mud is a total scam and after 1-2 years their systems went south.

I go to Ocean's Below right now mainly. It's on US-1. I take Northlake to US-1 turn right and then its on the left.

Yes I'm using the mud. I was told that as long as you change out the mud every... 6 months(?) it should be fine. Everything's growing great in it right now, no problems as of yet. Dont know the exact dimensions of my fuge.

Thats what they told me also but i read 2 threads on another board with people saying that even after changing the mud their corals were sagging and bleaching a little. Its gotten me a little worried knowing how much $ they spent on this for me.
The other thing that has me a little worried was reading their little booklet that comes with it. First it said to only run the skimmer 8 hours a day during the night :notsure: Not an expert with skimmers but never heard of only running one 8 hours a day??? Also, it tells you to only have a MAXIMUM 1" sand bed or the system wont work right. That sounded a little weird to me also.
Oh well, they are REALLY sweet looking sump/fuge's though. The quality of the acrylic work is top notch!! Cant wait to get mine filled tomorrow.
Good luck and keep updating

Hmm I never read the booklet I guess I shoudl have though. I have had some trouble keeping the flow INTO the fuge though. I just have to take out the tube and re-start the flow every few days. Don't know why it doesn't keep it.
Well I got 2 new fish today. I bought a flying gurnard for 20$ and a cleaner wrasse for 9. I couldn't refuse the flying gurnard, being as I love having fish that I have rarely seen in other tanks. He is doing great, the lady told me it may be hard for him to start feeding, but he has already started. Here are the 2 new fish pics and the sump/fuge pics.

isn't canary wrasse just another common name to use? according to a few other sites I just checked they all say A.k.a yellow coris/golden wrasse

durso standpipes?.... the ones in the overflow? I put them lower becasue of all the sitting water back there.. seems very unnecessary. Soon I'm going to just take it out alltogether.
