I like your tank " I am one of tha tang police" I am not gonna complain since they have been that way for 3 years but I would get read of some of the yellow and replace with some diffrent types of tang or mabey some butterflie's just MO

I'm one who tries to do the unconventional thing. I like to find the boundaries and learn more about this hobby, I believe I can only do that by trial & error, if I flow with the main stream, then I'd never know what is practical and what is possible.

How many inches of fish do you have in that tank? I dont want to get on to you or anything I am just wondering.

hmm...i got no clue on how many inches....i guess one can calculate how many inches.
no, i completely understand your questions, i have absolutely no problem answering any questions, but here's my philosophy,
the 1 inch per fish per 5 gallon is a rule many are aware of. i'm not defying the rule, i just go about my fish keeping from different approaches and aspects. I'm not going to argue or say anyone is wrong by following that or the eqiuvilant, i'm also not going to act like i know everything b/c i don't, but what i do know is by reading a whole lot, interchanging experiences with fellow hobbyist such as yourself, and by experimenting.
for example, Because though the norm is "can't have more then 1 yelllow tang to do well," it's not that i don't believe that, but i feel from my experience you can bend on certain so called "rules" but not on others. How did i come about this... by experiencing.
i'm more then happy to explain anything about my methods and approaches because those are the ways i learn, experience and enhance.
Am i going to be critisized for it, probably, yeah, , but that's ok because i don't expect people to agree or follow what I do.
There are so many great hobbyist such as yourself (snipe). We can only learn more by sharing our views and expereinces, and if we all do the same thing then there's nothing to share...heheehe

Normally I would get on someones case about so many fish, but if its been three years that is great. The hobby needs trailblazers like you who can prove what can and can't be done. At the same time just because one person can do it does not mean everyone can.

I think as long as You have really really good filtration and put time and effort into keeping your tank healthy Overstocking a bit would be just fine.
