180 Gallon - 6'x2'x2' Tank MH/PC and Wattage Requirements

Hey guys,
I'm getting mixed opinions from the LFS about what type of and what wattage to use for a 180 gallon (6' by 2' by 2') tank that will successfully house clams, SPS, and pretty much anything I want to put in there.
Money is not that big of an issue here, and I'm willing to spend upto $1500 or so for lighting.
For the tank above, how many watts of MH and how many watts of PC's and what types of bulbs would you require?
I already have PC lights on my current 60 gallon tank. The bulbs are 2 x 65W actinics and 2 x 65W daylights, so a total of 260W PC lighting, but the length is for a 4' tank. Will it be ok to use this on a 6' tank?
I'd like a nice bluish color, so for the PC's and MH's, what K bulbs would be best?
Thanks in advance

My current tank has the Hamilton Prostar lighting system.
It consist of three 250w 10000k MH with 160x2 VHO actinic.
when I have to replace my bulbs I will use 14000k MH with 160wx2 URI Actinics.
Here is a pic on the 175.

Oh it shimmers but I would like a little more blue look.
The Hammy 10000k bulbs have a bad par so when I upgrade I will go with a different bulb.
BTW these are DE bulbs.

I would go with a three 250 watt DE 14000k MH with two 160w VHO's.
thats what i run (phoenix 14k for best PAR)
the canopy being open screws with the camera so the tank doesnt look as bright.. but it is very bright

I have 4x65 PC's, so I want to use them w/ th MH's. Don't want to throw the PC's away and get VHO's.
So can you guys tell me in the case that I want to use the 4x65W PC's, how many MH's and what wattage I should use?
Also, is it possible to somehow fit the PC's w/ the MH's under one canopy?
And one last question for now, what's PAR?
Thanks
