180 Gallon Floor Reinforcement Help

I'm about to set up my 180g FOWLR tank. My question is: do I have to reinforce my floor? It is going to be set up against an ******** living room wall and I know for a fact that there is a 4x6 running right down the middle underneath the house. Is this enough? Thanks in advance.

I would be sure to set it up in such a way that the floor joists will be perpendicular to the tank. My tank is in a 100yr old house with floor sag, and it's doing just fine.

Have an architect take a look. Floors have max loads. Size, spacing, condition, age all play a factor in what joist can support. Support failure would be a costly mistake that is easily avoided.

my 125 is on my first floor, with the floor joists running perpendicular to the tank. with rythmic motion on the floor i could see noticable water movement. i got some adjustable floor jacks from the depot for like $40/ ea and it made a big difference.

I sent you a pm if you want the actual conditions looked at, since I'm in oc too. I work in the field. Hit me up.
