Ok I got a great deal on a tank in michigan for a 180 gallon for only $344. But it is not drilled. What are my options? I am doing a wet/dry. The guy sells these alot and says it can be drilled. Where can I get it drilled? or What can I do for an overflow design? I live in Livonia, michigan.
thanks

Not from michigan, but are there any glass places around there? You should definitely get it drilled if you can. A place by me does it for $8 a hole. Call your local glass shops and see if they have ever drilled an aquarium before, don't do it if they haven't! If you don't wanna mess with it you could always get a CPR overflow, I use one on my 55 and they are nice and slim. Don't stick out very much from the back of the tank. HTH

where'd you get the CPR overflow from? With a 75gallon, would one be enough, or two, one on each end?
added: Is this it? Found it on the 'bay: NEW CPR CS150DX Overflow with AquaLifter Pump
sounds good? $60?
thanks

I got my CPR from marine depot. It was $93.50 for the CS100 that's rated at 800gph. I think the CS150 would be quite a bit for a 75 gal, it's rated at 1600gph. You could easily get away with the CS100 (800gph) or the step above that. $60 is a GREAT price, but it has a reserve and will sell for well above $100. Like I said, I LOVE my CPR, but you have to get the aqualifter with it. It can be tricky to hook up, but if you decide to go with one, and you can't figure it out, just let me know. HTH ... Joe

Ok so if I did happen to get the CS100 rated at 800gph, what powerhead would you recommend for the return? I'm pretty set on the mag drives, have heard soo much good about them. I don't want to have to set back the pump rate very much so that it isn't a strain on the pump, know what I mean?
thanks,
cordell

the mag 7 should be good but if you ever want to upgrade or not run the pump at full throttle or have a lot of head pressure, I would go with the mag 9.5. get the mag 9.5
