I added my 1st fish yesterday. Tank has been cycling since Thanksgiving. After 3+ weeks in my QT I added my False Percula yesterday. He seems just fine. The info provided on these boards is invaluable. Thanks, Steve

Great job waiting so long... It annoys me the people that add fish within a couple of weeks. I was someone who waited about 2 months before putting in just my cleaner crew and 3-4 months before I put in my first fish... My only advice is not to add fish to fast... 1 every 1-2 weeks if you're levels still test fine... SLOW = good....

You mean like people who say "my tank has been cycling for 4 days. Can I add a cleanup crew yet"?
I have read too many threads on this forum to not just jump into things. This hobby has taught me patience. And that is a good thing, because before I started this hobby I had no patience at all.

I can't agree more with both. It's about time somebody said that on these boards.

Waiting is not a bad thing and my comment is not directed at you. I am just taking it slow. First the cycle then my water changes and testing all of my parameters. I added my CUC in early January and dealth with diatoms and cyano bacteria. Everything is doing well now and my 1st fish had gone through 3+ weeks in QT with no noticeable problems and was introduced yesterday into my DT. It's not a sprint but a marathon. I am not going anywhere and I don't want to lose anything along the way. In about a years time I hope to have an awesome reef setup.
Take Care, Steve
