They are the brazillians. They all died/eaten. I put a breeder net on the side with some callerpa...my shrimps must have climbed over the net and ate them:confused: Did you get the ag lady in a head lock yet?

Whats up guys, long time no thread. Sence you guys have taken over the planning I have layed back and given you the reins which is o.k. because you are very excited about the concept and I of all people appreciate it. It seems to me though that every time I check the new post it consists of only 3 people filling the whole thread. Sadly it seems that the idea isnt really moving in the right direction. Try to remember that to the east of Chicago is a BIG lake, to the south, farms and steel mills. Head due north and cows out number people 10 to1. My point, Alsip cuts out about 80% of the intrest. I for one live in the n.w. burbs and as excited about the swap as I am I won't be driving all the way to Alsip to attend one. A common saying is "location is KEY", I believe we can make this work but we have to consiter EVERYONES drive time as well as their time in general. Keep in mind that we want reefers from Rockford, Southern Wis., S,W,&N Burbs all to be able and willing to get involved. Reconsiter a location like Schaumburg and focus all of your positive energy there. It is centrally located around 3 interstates easily and quickly accessable to ALL surrounding areas within a 50 mile radius. Even if the 4 of us meet to get this thing off and running I'm game, but think about this, I'm a father of two, a husband with a nagging wife because my house is in the middle of construction, I work full time, my wife works nights, and time is short. In describing myself I have also described half of the members of this site. We can "GetErDone"!

Well at school today i talked to the principle and he told me to have one on saturday morning, May 14th since we are having a garden show that day which will draw people. he also said we can have one earlier if we collaborate with the veteranarian teacher lady so if u guys wanna have an earlier one, we can do that. John Baker, your right i wont deny your point so in my oppinion we can have just a south side meet which ill set up AND work on one in a more central location to accomodate everyone. if we make this a chicago land area "club" we can have different swaps when ever and where ever in the best interests of our members.

John,
Found out on saturday, there is a cichlid club that throws an auction. I am in the process of trying to contact them. Maybe we could meet up with their group. As far as I know, they meet around Rt. 83 & 55th St. That is a little south of you, but it is an idea.

Sounds cool to me! I will try to get a hold of this club pres. It is a little closer to john/expressways. People are already attending at that event...perhaps we can make it bigger!!!!!

ok. Here goes....the auction is on april 3rd - arabian knights farm. It is in willowbrook (6520 claraden rd.) . Marcos...help me out with the spelling. Registration is at 10:30 and auction begins 12:00. The horse stable lets this guy throw these auctions for free. He just has to advertise on his site for them...which I might be able to do on my internet site. He said to come and check it out. If anyone wants this guys number, just let me know. We could meet there anyways....who is going to care or know.
Richy,
meant to call you....has been very crazy. I will call you tomorrow. Do not have therapy tomorrow, so I am free!
Marcos,
Same goes to you!

If you all aren't aware yet, the Chicagoland Marine Aquarium Society (CMAS) will be holding a frag swap on March 26th at the Schaumburg Public Library.
