1st time traveling to NYcity -- Any advice ?

Im soo excited I am actually going to NYC really soon!!!!!!!!! I've always wanted to visit here. My friend is flying from Hawaii to meet me up there and we are interested in
~ good shopping sites, are there any outlet malls?
Planning to go to Little italy, soho, (I definitely want to go to Brooklyn), Probably just take a boat tour to see Ms. LIberty, pay respect at Ground Zero,
~ good restaurants -- authentic -- any recommendations? all types
looking for that restaurant with those big sandwiches
ANd Last but not least --
ANy good night clubs???????? late 20's - early 40's crowd.
Any recommendations ????????????????????? :thinking:

:rolleyes: im 17 and im always there, just go to times square and walk around, ull find a lot of places to shop around in. not sure about the night clubs... little italy has some good restuarants, just go where u see a lot of ppl and the food will most likely be great. try to get on the circle line, its a boat that takes u on a tour around by the statue of liberty, and everywhere else. its a good place, just watch out for ppl keying ur cars.---right bang guy :rolleyes:

dont buy anythig from someone on the corner, u'll end up wasting money. and yes we do have lots of outlet stores, too mny to list. just about anywhere u turn u'll see a store. its like living in a big mall.

but its a nice city for a change

ok i went to NY city with my family and it was great just becareful when driving. there are really crazy taxi drizers that go really fast and think they are like the boss of these streets. and sometimes people just walk out on the street like there are no cars coming. and there are lots and lots of cars. its sometimes really really really cold out. well thats mostly what i saw around. btw im only 13 so i dont really know much at the time

you know what sad i bought a FRolex watch and to this date 3 years it's one of the best watches i have ever had the thing is still ticking, my finace got a Gucci purse and she loves it. Times square is nice, the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is great resturant in Times Square little pricey but not to bad, i like the hard rock as well thats good eatin.

1) Go to Coney Island and get a Nathan's hot dog . . . and no other Nathan's counts, it has to be Coney Island
2) Get yourself a bagel
3) Get yourself a slice or two of pizza
4) Go to a good deli
5) Go to a diner
Ok, I know that is all food, but I miss New York food soooo much. I was born there and used to go back every winter and summer.

I went there once when I was like 12 I think...but yeah there is too much stuff to do there. But in the midst of everything to do, don't forget to just chill and look around. If I went again...here's what I would do for half a day: get my iPod, put on something comfortable, buy some su
ay passes, and just walk around all of Manhattan via sidewalk and su
ay. That would be sweet.

Oh it was such an awesome trip! NYC is big, wish I had more time to explore more but regardless it was a really trippy experience.
OMG,
1. I had NY cheesecake for the 1st time!!! it's nothing like what I've had in the past! any one got any good recipe's let me know!!! (i guess I will have to check out a recipe forum!!)
2. Saw those people at the corner, tried to sell me a wallet (of course fake) he wanted $15.00 I said i'll pay 10. he said no, then i started to leave-- he then says OK == too late, I didnt want it that bad!!
3. finally had a new york pizza -- It was SOOOO goood!! yummy. the owner was a bit straight forward and plain rude, he tells me "wanna sleep w/me?" I told him to go play w/himself!!! But the Pizza was Great!! Oh my -- wondered what he put in there!!!
4. Got to eat food from Hawaii!!! They recently opened up an L & L there!!! Oh gosh.. I was sooooo happy to order a plate lunch!!
5. the fashion was neat!!! and $$$$ nice shoes, bags, and clothes.
6. the only tourisy thing we did was go on a boat cruise and it was NICE!!!!
7. walked the brooklyn bridge, went to china town, soho, little italy! Shopped at Union square & times square!!! went to Ground Zero, Empire state Building
I wanna go back!!!

go to Yankee Stadium or a game if possible.!! Pizza is a must, I miss it, the pizza down here sux! OOPs i guess i'm too late. well, next time you go do that. LOL.
