not to be a wet towel or hijack but i thought the tips of SPS turned white when they were growing new tissue and it was bad when they were bleaching from the bottom up????

They do, but you can tell that the corals are not doing well since they have lost all of their color (see the pictures when they were originally put in the aquarium).
