2 mandarin?

anyone try to mix 2 mandarins together? i currently hv one in my 72, and would like to add another one. i hv enough copepods for them both.

what type of mandarin is it? if it is a green or spotted, i would say you can do it as long you dont mix 2 males, and keep the species the same. you should also need at least 80 lbs of LR.
you can tell males from females because males will have a long protruding spine on the dorsal fin that flips up and down, while the females do not.

I wouldn't recommend it. I have a mandrin nd scooter blenny in my 150 and they run low once in awhile. I am lucky that my hubby is a LFS and I can replenshinsh my pods whenever I want, other wise, i would probably have lost them.

ok, then maybe i shouldnt. i already hv a scooter blenny. maybe 3 pod eaters r a bit many. u hv a green one now. thinking of getting a spotted one from this site.

scooter blenny is not a blenny but technically a dragonette, so unless you have 200 pounds of rock and refugium, i would definitely advise against it.

i hv about 150lbs of lr in my 72 with a fuge. there r pods in the fuge and in the dt. my blenny and mandarin hv been in my tank for 3 months now. the spotted one is so pretty. but i guess i will wait.

I had a green and a spotted and the spoted one would always chase the green one till he would never go on the rocks anymore so I had to get rid of him

its not worth the risk for me, so i hv decided not to get one. u think i can mix a mandarin with a lionfish? i do hv a 150 aggressive fowlr tank.
