mlm....I'm tempted to delete this thread because it just ain't fair for members to post pics of corals "I" want but can't have!!!!!
Not yet anyway......I'll eventually develope my reef to be SPS friendlier....till then I got to confess those are some outstanding looking additions...congrads and I hope they grow out real nice so you can frag them and send this old man a baby or 2 at some point in the future.
I'd even appreciate additional pics of some more of the corals "I" can't have yet!!:D

I am seeing some coloring up but not like some of the sps that are posted here. I am thinking it may be because of the 6500k bulbs but I am not sure. What do you think? They do look a lot better in person than they do in the pics. There is really only one shop in my area that always has Acros and a lot of the are wild but they do have some frags but I think that they are from wild colonies. They guy that owns the shop does a lot of propagating in his backyard with natural sunlight. I will post his website although it may get deleted(mods please let me know if this is OK I don't want to make anyone mad) but it is just a LCS (local Coral shop) and does not really do any internet business.

I have the exact same acros as you do.. Well As far as I can tell. The top one that you have .. Is a powder blue tip and the second one is a pink tip with yellow and green hues on the base and body..I run mine under 2-250 mh saki's with 3-160 vho and 1-160 aquasun.
These are all Wild caught and well I have had problems with the deseises ... To me it looked like a fungis or bacterial infection I notice the base turning Brown and then balk.. I pulled the acro out and it smelled like DOODOO But the fingures looked great color and polyps were out .. So then I started to frag away to save it.. You know when you break a frag the bone is pure white.. All the frags were except for one and it looked like Tooth Decay...
Can anyone tell me what kind of Desiese this was.. Oh and it smelled like crap..PLease I really need some advice.. By the way My frags have been doing well and holding there color...I buddy runs 10k and I run 65k's we have frags of both in our tank.. His coral that looked like mine Turned absolutly white with long hairy white polyps And he has ahumilis that looked green and yellow in another tank. then he bought it and it looks blan...I got a frag and it has green Polyps and yellow body..He has great luck with purple and green colors and I have better luck with blue and pink colors... Go figure... This is just waht i observe. in our tanks... Who knows what colors they will be next month though
