hi there i dont know who can help me with ths but here are my 2 issues....
i recently got into sps and have had great luck with softies and lps....
my issue now is with 2 pieces of sps i purchased recently....
one is my pink monti cap....
i noticed that there is a light tone of brown algae starting to grow all over the piece ....its still pink but the algae is growing on it and i have blown it off the last 2 days using one of my power heads then the algae slowly comes back later on its a thin film of it....
im wondering what this can be caused by and what i can do to stop it from killing my cap...
problem #2 is with a green branching acro its starting to get STN its deff not RTN because its happening slowly over the last 5 days ... i have noticed that the tissue seems to be melting away and becoming stringy and getting blown off.... its starting at the ends and moving down the sticks....
what can be causing this and what can i do to solve the issue....
i also currently have a red milli acro, a yellow humulius acro has some bleacing but polyps are still showing i think i acclimated it too fast at the top of my tank with the lighting, a purple acro and another purple encrusting monti they seem to be doing fine ...
tank is 100 gallons
has about 16.5X turnover
500W 20K DE HQI bulbs along with 200W 10K PC
well established aquarium all levels are as follows
PH 8.3
NI 0
NA 0
AM 0
PO 0
CA 420-430
Temp 80-81

the second is of the pink monti cap if u look closely u can see some spots of brown algae
the other 2 are just of the tank
thanks for any help!!!
