There's a guy in Wisconsin who built a 20,000 gal tank in his house. And now his plan is to add on to the house including a 60,000 tank. Anyone seen it, if not these are couple of pictures from the site where I saw the tank build.

Equipment room in basement under tank.

Thought this was amazing wanted to share.

I roughly added up what maintenance runs me on my 135 and it's about $900 a year. Did some quick math his tank is 148 times bigger than mine so roughly $133,200.

Very few fish in there, I doubt he does that many water changes. With those three skimmers, it looks pretty solid. There's also other filtration media that he uses. I looked at that build not long ago on RF, pretty neat stuff. I don't know if I would want something that big in my house for fear that I couldn't resell the house if I had to. I wouldn't mind working on it at a public aquarium...
The pics of him in scuba gear, cleaning algae off the acrylic once a week is pretty funny. lol

That is a really valid point; about trying to resell the house if need be.

You obviously haven't seen the thread lately. He has more fish in that tank than can fit in your house or apartment. Alone, he has close to 8 Sailfins, many Yellow Tangs. Many Tangs period, and around 1500 lbs of rock. I would say he has atleast 20 fish in that tank.
His electric bill alone is around 1500.00 bucks a month. Simply awesome but overwhelming.

Hah, I guess I haven't read it that recently. lol. 20 fish in a 20,000g tank is nothing. If you want to know what too many fish in a tank is, check out Goodwin9's thread of is 600g SPS tank.

That is a nice tank. I had been wondering for quite a while if we would ever see water in it. The house it is in is equally impressive.

And i thought upgrading from my 30 gallon tank to a 120 was a huge step up lmao. My wife said if i had a tank that big we would charge admission to see it to help pay the bills.

WOWWOWWOWOWOWOW now i would love to view that tank in person then perhaps going scuba diving in it lol. Goodwins tank is also amazing the thread was bumped up recently and i loved the thread but IMO he was well overstocked ruffly 100 fish a bit crowded even for a 600 gallon the tank was amazing though let me see if i can find a link.

Wow Ranbow what great thread spent the whole afternoon reading it. I really felt like I got to know Goodwin through his tank and then to find out he past away and donated it. It was really heart felt. Thanks for sharing that.

Mr Limpid - I'm surprised that you haven't seen that one already!
yea, I agree, it's sad but he sure had an awesome time with his beautiful tanks. He did what most of only can imagine about. I hope I can be as lucky in near future.
