I was wondering if one was better for better for soft corals nad anemones. Its time for me to change my bulbs. I currently have 50/50 10K/actinic PC's. My LFS also has a 50/50 20K/actinic.

Actually, I prefer a range of K temps in order to provide a full spectrum. Why not try a combination of things. Try a 10K, a 20K, and some blue actinics?

Hello,
Rich hit the nail on the head, while we might "like" a more blue tank, i.e. 20K, our animals benefit from a true wide spectrum. I would go with the 10K. Consider this, sunlight is 5500K, give or take, so the farther we go from that the less full of a spectrum we have.

Mr.Crabs,
Are those 50/50 bulbs the 65w smartlamps?
Can you give me more info on those bulbs. I would like 20k/actinic for my tank. Ive never seen them before. What store has them?

PA reef pig,
They're 55w bulbs. I have the name brand written down at home. When I get home I'll post the name. It's a small local store that's selling them.
