20 gallon frag tank!

i'm looking to set up a 20 long frag tank! my question is what is the easyiest way to go about the cycle if i'm using dead sand and no live rock just egg crate? will have a HOB filter and a 150mh 14k i was gonna pull filter media out of my estblished tank and some sand and hope taht does the job all help is appricated! thank you

I would just go by a shrimp at the store in the sea food and drop it in .test till spike

pull some chunck of rock out of setup tank to help get it movin along and ghost feed the tank. than test as usual
