20 Gallon Long

Don't have a drill, tank was already setup, and just a little easier for me. If I was living back next to my parents, I would have, but they are a 3 hour drive one way. Plus, I think the glass is tempered so I wasn't gonna risk it. Those U tubes are gonna go though, just gotta get the right pipe sizes and stuff

The sides shouldn't be tempered but I know what you mean. With the fuge so close you don't really need to worry if it loses siphon anyway.

yup, another reason. Figured this way was easier, plus I'm moving with a month, and this is a simple design I could work with. Drilling just turned out to be too much work for this tank. Now if it was bigger, that's a different story

awesome...water clearned up really nice. I have to leave some algae on the glass, otherwise I freak every time I see the tank, cause it's so clear. And my shrimp love my rock overhang I glued together on the right side.

yeah. I guess the clowns are happy too. The two that have paired up have been cleaning off this one spot of my live rock, and won't let the third get anywhere near it. Idk if they plan on sealing the deal, but that would be alright with me.

Can you guys help me ID these corals? I got them a long time ago, before I really knew anything, so I have no clue what they are.

And any ideas why one of my hairy mushrooms is bleaching? I had it about half way up the tank before, moved it to it's currrent location a couple days ago, and it looks like it's doing better now.

And oh the joys of having a surface skimmer for my overflow box. Took less than a min getting all the crap off of the top of the water. It's just a temp thing till I move. Then it'll get painted black, along with the background, and glued in a LOT better.

Well, I'm back. Had to move sooner than I expected. Finally got internet. Moved the tank with me, was fairly easy. 5 gal buckets with lids makes it so much easier than I thought it would be. The tank is finally all setup. The day before I moved it, my female perc decided to start hosting in my hairy mushroom. Two days later, she hosts in my toadstool, and now nothing, just sits in this little cave. My smallest picasso clown starting hosting in my frogspawn, until the dominant male picasso kicked him out. Now he's only allowed in when the frogspawn is really open, and there's enough room for him to sneek in. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

I'm glad the move went well for you. That can usually be a stressful time.
The behavior of clowns are very interesting. I love the hierarchy they establish. How was it bringing in the clowns separate? Was there a lot of fighting?
I really want to bring another clown into my tank but I'm worried about the fighting.

It was fine with the clowns. I first had the wild caught female true perc. in a 55 gal FOWLR with a black and white saddleback. She was pretty friendly. Bought the two picasso's for my 9 gal, it started crashing so I immediately put them in the 55 gal while I set up this 20. They stayed away from the saddleback, but whenever the female perc saw them getting picked on, she came to the rescue. Once the 20 was set up, I put the 3 true percs in the 20. The 2 picasso's where the same size when I got them, and now one's about twice the size. He matured really fast and it now hosting in my frogspawn with the female true perc.

That picasso that got big is a she now, looks like you have a pair!
I hope my one clown starts hosting in the new frogspawn, that would be sweet.
Also what is your return pump?
