20g, Fish Only, W/O Live Rock

I'm sure pictures of this kind of tank are rare around here, so I'd thought I'd post mine.
It is three months old, with one blue damsel and one ocellaris clownfish. I'm just getting my feet wet (or should I say my hands) in this hobby and I hope to one day upgrade to a much larger tank and build a reef.
I made a few mistakes along the way I wish I hadn't, such as using crushed coral and tap water. I currently use bottled RO water from the grocery store, which is pretty cheap for this size of tank. I also plan on switching to sand eventually. Also, sometime in the future I plan on adding a bit of live rock.

Looks good! I was thinking about getting just regular rock but then I decided that LR will keep my water cleaner and it looks a lot better IMO, so I figured it would be worth the investment. Keep us updated!

I personally love the coloration of damsels, it's too bad they are fiesty little creatures. Your's is very beautiful, hopefully it cohabitates with the clown

just a little warning, i don't believe the aquaclear powerhead is usable in marine tanks. may want to check it out.

i dont have one but im just wondering why i wouldnt be able to be used in a marine?

Probably not tested (passed testing) poor manufacturing, metal (non stainless steel parts)...where in NJ are you. You look really familiar

there are some that will rust with salt water, and then electricute the tank. I'll try to find out where i read it, but it definitely was an aquaclear pump.

I have 3 of these in my reef, and after reading this post I did some research on them to double check. Everywhere online says they are sold as freshwater or marine, and even the manufacturer says they are marine safe. Perhaps this was an old problem they have fixed?
