I ran the 12k sunburst for a while and switched to the Ushio 10k. The 12k are pretty blue (for the first month), and the coral growth was non existant over an 6 month period. One month after switching to my 10k I noticed new growth on all my SPS frags. Overall I hated the 12k, both the color and the bulb really needed replacement after only 6 months running 7.5 hours per day. The last month I ran the bulb it was very dim even though it was only 6 months old. since then I have not heard one person recomend the sunburst 12k.

Here's my tank running 2x 400wt 20,000k radiums on dual PFO HQI ballast (See attachment). I did enjoy the coloration of the radiums. I didn't receive too much growth though. I also didn't want to spend almost $180.00 every 6 months replacing the bulbs. I then switched to the 400wt 10,000k Ushios. Since I've switched, I've notice much better growth. Many more "buds" started to form along the branches. The coloration from the corals was generally the same. The tank itself looked slightly yellow, but I don't mind it. Here's the tank running the 20k's
