I find it hard to believe that my lil reef is now 20 months old. I recently did some landscape work and added a few corals. Was playing around with the didital and took the following pics....haven't put them on my website yet...but if you'd like to peek....check them out.

I noticed you have some Gorgonians in your tank. How hard are Gorgonians to keep. I hear that they are difficult but the a certain website (GARF) says that thry ae easy and can be propagated (sp.).

Thanks for the positive comments gents.....
The landscaping was much needed and worth the effort broomer.
PA....my gorgonian is a new addition....my first experience with them. This speciman was in bad shape when I got it...but is much improved. Information indicates that they can be difficult....but with proper lighting/circulation/food source I believe they can be kept successfully. Mine has recovered about 20%-30% of its damaged area in about 2 weeks.

cool. nice job.
BTW....beautiful tank. Really one of the nicest Ive seen. (excluding mine...) :D
Im trying to get some pics but the new camera is a bit perplexing. It will take a bit of playing around with the camers till I get the pics to look the way I want them to.
....
I think I'll post a new thread and see if anyone has the same camera as I do and see how they take pics and what settings they use.

AWSOME NM reef one day I hope to have my tank like yours. definately some of the nicest pics i have seen

You know NM, I have visited your site many times, and have kept up with the pics that you show. I feel that you have done a splendid job on your stuff, and I commend you for it.
I used to live out in Phoenix, AZ. Lived there for about a year. I never could get used to all the shades of brown and I am not a desert person. Do you get a lot of comment on the contrast between your aquariums and living in the desert?
Just curious.:)

Thanks again for all the positive comments.....feels good to get validation from folks that enjoy the same hobby!
Actually the climate here is very different from Phoenix...I also lived near there a long time ago. Where I live in New Mexico isn't really all that bad......but yes I do get gasps and questions about my reef from those that visit. You are right////a reef here is a bit of a contrast!!!
Adrain....I'll scratch up a close-up of the plate as soon as I can....my Kodak dx3500 does not do the best job of getting close-ups....but I'll see what I can get. That plates has been around longer than folks thought it would be......some days its fully extended....now and then it looks rather weak.

Well thanks for all the kind responses!!!! Makes me feel good to know reefkeepers like ya'all approve of my lil baby!!!!!
But I got to make a confession.....this lil dude helps me keep my reef in good shape....without his assistance I'd be lost. Actually he does all the work....and i take all the credit!!!

Adrain...here is a close up of the plate.....its a bit old but not much has changed....some days the tentacles are fully extended...other days it appears to be resting. I really like this dude....he is a pig....simply loves silversides and/or mysis...even munches a whole cube of krill when I offer it! One of these days I may try a long tentacle type...but for now this lil dude is just fine!!!
