I got some new LR and did a little aquscaping, just had to share

Now I just need more, more $$$ too

My wife made me put this silly fake pink anem in the tank, what can you do?

I know...I am going to order 100lbs from swf but will need to be in 2 weeks.
Next pay, purchasing the 210 wasnt cheap.

yep, it's good to humor us...
it's look good....
why don't you get some base rock? it'll be cheaper...though I don't know where you can buy 100# of it...

Remember you'll need to cure the rock that comes from swf before you put it in your tank, its truly only half cured and you will definitely have a lot of DieOff that will spike nitrates and ammonia and endanger your fish.
Beautiful tank and stand btw.

I got the tank from a friend of mine that has a dog grooming place, he has a state resale cert and was able to get it for me at cost from a distributor out of east chicago, was still expensive.
I priced base rock from the lfs and they wanted $150.00 a case, so i figured i will hang in there for a couple more weeks and get like 100lbs LR for 50 more bucks.
My tank is an all-glass brand, its 72x24x31
it's a fowlr, maybe later on I will think about a reef tank, but will prob be atleast a year away, just have too much going on now...kids...wife...house...projects...work...life.

nice looking tank, just make sure that you cure that rock cause i wouldnt want to see the nice hippo die from a spike in the water

Yep, I agree. The tank is looking good but more rock is definitely needed. I used 250 lbs. in my 210 to fill half the tank (looks very good), but I still plan to cure 30 more lbs. in the near future.

yOU COULD BUY DRIE DEAD BASE ROCK AND LET IT TURN INTO LIVE ROCK IT TAKES SOME TIME BUT COULD SAVE YOU $200 OR MORE. sory cap locks where on from a yahoo pass word. Any way there are a couple online sites that sale like 90 lbs base rock for like $50 shipped. Also look and see if any local clubs in yor area have a web page they could have a clasifed section and you might find some on there from where someone is moving or just can't keep there tank any longer I put together a nice 55 gal tank reef for right around $300 everything but the skimmer was bought from internet clasfides.
