Has anyone every used this light or have an opinion on it. Price tag looks good, but dont wanna waist money on something thats going to break in a month or not do what I want it to do. Quick Specs on my tank and what I want to do:
44gal pentagon
Want to do a reef tank; corals, anemones, several fish.
Here's the light:

I believe Odyssea doesn't make products like they used to. I have never owned one and am going just by what I read on them.

Do you think it would be worth a try at that price. MH lights are freaking expensive. Also, I've read alot of places that MH lights only need to run 6-8 hours a day and that I should use HO or VHO flourescents the rest of the time. That the way to do it as opposed to running the MH 12 or 14 hours a day?

I can't comment on what you said accept for the should you try question. The price is right on the unit if it lasts. I've read that Odyssea ballasts tend to fail in a short period of time. Again this is just from reading other's experiences. If I were in the market for a fixture like the one you posted, I would probably try it since the price is right. Compact halide units can be very epxensive.

This unit was $140, but I found another combo that had the 15K MH light, 4 T5's and the blue LED moonlights for $200. I don't want to dump $200 and then it break or explode in a month....
