24Hrs New Tank -Still Cloudy?

The fish will eventually get used to you and not freakout when you are working in or out of the tank.
Again, that will come with TIME.
I can go in my tank and they pretty much nip at my arms..

The clown does not "need" a buddy at this time. what he needs is time and a calm environment.
One of the biggest mistakes I made as a newb, was constantly sticking my arms in the tank, moving stuff around. Causes all kinds of stress, etc..
But that is what we do when it is new, we want to keep moving it around till it looks the way we want.
Which is why you should not add anything till after you are done, and the tank has cycled.
That being said... What type of Anemone are we talking about? what type of lighting do you have on the tank?
I would NOT add anything else.

I have 2 pink Tipped Anenomie's which took a real liking to my fiji rocks, which was my next question, i shouldnt even add anymore rocks? I only have about 18lbs right now of LR maybe not even that.....The lighting i am using is an Power-Glo (made by aqua-glo?) 18,000K light (T-10)
and as i type the clown just went up to swim around his home, but strangely today he isnt in it like he was yesterday just "gaurding" the parameters....

Ok Chris,
Those Anemones are going to die with that lighting.Period, no doubt at all.

A power glo is a No (normal output) light. That means like 40 watts.
As far as the LR you should have added it WAY before adding the fish/anemone's. You should have at least 1-2 lbs per gallon of LR. and it needs to have been cured, or at least let the tank cycle with it in there.
Now you will have to add it very slowly, and in small peices to avoid an ammonia spike and causing the tank to re-cycle.
I would seriously consider returning the Anemone's, or finding a friend with an established tank who is willing to house them for you till you:
A. get the tank stable
B. Get bettter lighting
Not to mention that although the LFs keeps more than one Anemone in its tank, you should not in a tank that small.

Being that i am a student this was my budget and i had this tank so i figured it would work out wit the help of a friend i had 60% water from his fully cycled tank and yes i did add to fast but i mean under the conditions the anenomies are only getting bigger and maybe the light isnt great but so far so good is the way i look at it, i will though add LR slowly and continue to check my water/temp/SG but again under my budget we will see what transpires in the next couple of weeks, until than i guess only the tank will tell , and hopefully it will cycle soon..... :happyfish

They are expanding to try to absorb light.. Light that you are not providing. and when they die, they will emit toxins that will wipe out EVERYTHING in your tank.
Obviously you are going to do whatever you want and ignore the experience of others.

In the mean time, and as you "see what transpires" your animals are going to suffer and die.

Anenomies do not die overnight from poor lighting, the lack of proper lighting kills them s-l-o-w-l-y.But garenteed, they WILL die! Do the humane thing and give them to someone who has the funds to provide the right conditions for them

Ok ok I get the drift people, and yes i know what the right thing is to do, probably give up the anenomies but i dont get it the tank must cycle and than its ok for everything is that when the guidelines say........let this be a lesson for all who visit this post b/c when you see a good looking salt water tank like i have seen (my friends 90g reef set up) you tend to be influenced to do the same well, 1 week into it and never knowing much about the "needs" of the tank mates i have had 2 new tank syndrome deaths and alot of frustration as to why and how long is this gonna be going on for questions..............sooooooooo learn from me its a very involving and costly hobby especially when starting off and from others on here and my friend i recommend even to myself starting with a 55g so that everything can be kosher and oh yes cycle those tanks for as long as humanly possible before getting crazy like i did........
Thanks for all the "constructive" feedback and well at this point i think i will cycle away with my two damsels and see what happens.....Ciao all .....

I know its tough, when you see all looks well, you want to believe your tank will be the exception, and everything you want to have in it will live, it just isn't so. I am so glad you decided to do the right thing and let the anenomies go, thats the humane thing to do, and I am proud of you! Keep us informed:)
