250w 10k MH

Hey All,
I have a new light coming in that has a 250w 10k MH bulb in it as well as power compacts on the side and moonlights. Will this be too much for a 29 reef?

May have to play with placement and be more careful with light acclimation. but I wouldn't be concerned. If you are planning an SPS tank which I would assume with that lighting they will easily handle or adapt to it. Some corals may need to be placed low and I wouldn't bother with leathers, Xenia or star polyps as they may over run the tank under high lighting. even if it was too much switching to many 14-20k bulb or inferior 10k bulb will certainly solve that issue. heat may become an issue but you wont know until its up and running.
