Hello, I just transplanted everything from my 10g to my 25g half hex. I need more LR because this is all that come from my 10g. my xenia's did not survive the move. I only have a false perc in there right now and am not planning on getting anymore fish. just corals. But my frirst plan of action is more LR. I have a sand sifting sea star so he's having fun in the corner there. Ive got a 175w metal halide 10,000k with no supplementation. all my corals open very wide to it. it runs from 12pm to 8:30pm.
my CPR bakpak is amazing i love it to death! how does the scaping look so far?
its still a baby only 5 mths old. the 10g was only a year when i moved it.

The color is way off from what it really is. I took those pics with a cell phone so chances are the color is way off. I just emailed them from my phone to my email account. But i'm not sure if i'm happy with the bulb because it is to "white" and not enough deep water "blue". what would you suggest? Ive got 175w screw in. vertical pendant. I am looking into a new bulb

Try an actinic 10,000k. The actinic helps to bring out the color of your corals. Your running 7 watts/gallon which may be too much unless you plan on having some real exotic things that need a lot of light like clams.

Yeah, I want to get a maxima and some acropora. Ill probably just raise the light up so the intensity isn't as much and the surface area is more. right now it is 9 inches above the water. Which brand should I buy? Im a noob to halide
