Just filled my new tank with an arragonite DSB today, man what a nasty immediate result! I know this is normal and all but it does suck! Cant wait for it to settle and look nice again.:( :)

give it a good week
and another good month for the dust to not stir when you place the rock

Been there. It won't take long to clear up, but as mentioned it will take a little while for it to not stir up easily.

Is that all? Mine looked much more like milk, I don't think you have to worry, a great deal of us have been through this, I used the southdown sand and it has a good deal of silt to it that was suspended for near two weeks. Yours looks like it will be clear in just a few days.

I used the 'ole pvc pipe trick I read about here to fill the sand bed so it wouldnt be as bad. Question though, will LS cloud the tank up as bad as dry aragonite? I'm thinking about adding a batch of LS to go ontop of the dry...
Thanks,
KH

I know my LS was coarser than my sand underneath it so I was able to put it over without much disturbance at all.

That doesn't look too bad at least you can see the sand I have seen them where after you add the sand you can see nothing in there because the clouding is so dense. Looks like a nice setup let us see some pictures as it progesses Good Luck.:)
