265 G dual overflow problem

One side overflow works just fine, the water level is just over the hole on the side, BUT the other side does not flow the right way. The water level on the left hand side will fill up way over the U pipe by about an inch or two then all of a sudden it will syphen out like it should, then the process starts over. Does anyone have any idea why it is doing this or has anyone had this problem before? Any info would be great, thanks in advance....Bill

Im not sure i understand clearly but ill take a guess anyway.Sounds like you dont have enough return to keep up with 2 U tube over flows.Try just using one and see if that helps.

Or if you have a standpipe in the overflow, the vent hole is either clogged or needs to be modified possibly

Veni vidi vici you hit the nail on the head! Just went thru this on a new tank set up and we ended up scrapping one of the 2 Jtubes and the dual overflow bottoms were still fine. There just wasn't enough water refilling the filter box fast enough with two jtubes siphoning!
