Sorry i hadn't posted in a while i decided to also go with a marbled cat shark also, and just find a new home for the bamboo in a few years when it outgrows this tank. So far this little girl has went into my overflow 4 times and ended up in my sump, but i think i have that problems solved with a screen type thing to keep her out of it.
anyways here is a pic i snapped of her as she was enjoying a piece of shrimp.

It may be just me but that doesn't look like a marbled cat. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. Marbled Bamboo Catsharks can be mistakened as Marbled Catsharks. What size is it?

well i just went down to check on the tank and she had gone into the overflow again but this time got caught in my return line and killed. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrr
what i purchased was "Marbled Cat Shark, Chiloscyllium sp" if this wasn't that then im not sure what it was. She was about 6-7"

I'm sorry for your loss but I do believe that it wasn't actually a marbled catshark. The scientific name is a lot different than marbled catsharks. Can you email me again and tell me where you got it? I hope you didn't pay too much for it. Again I'm soo sorry for your loss.

I got the email but there was a problem with reply.
The scientific name for the marbled catshark is Atelomycterus macleayi.
I'd call them about false advertisement. I hope that there was some kind of Guarantee.

So what's in the tank now? I hope you get your money back and I'd bring the false advertisement up to them and see if they can correct the mistake.

That sounds like a good stock list plus I'm sure you are planning to add more. Ever thought about a small ray like a cortez in there too? I sent an email also where I think you can find a real marbled.

i have considered a ray but the wife says no... She didn't like my Eel idea either until i had him and now she likes it.
Update on the bamboo egg : In just the 2 weeks i have had the egg the sharks has grown so much he/she almost completely fills up the egg and cant move around much anymore.. So i assume a few more weeks it will hatch.

Is the egg in with the puffer? Born sharks don't deal with stress well so I'd put the puffer and baby sharks in seperate tanks till the shark gets older.

the egg is in a 29 gal bio cube all by himself
and i plain to keep him in there for a few weeks to ensure he is feeding properly and not stressed out before moving him.

just the ones in my first post for now. ill try and get some more tomorrow. he has really grown these few weeks and is almost filling the whole egg up.
I also added my naso tang yesterday... Hes kinda shy right now and not eating, well he did eat some flake but just spit right right back out. I feed the tank some formula 1 and 2 and scallop also and he didnt seem interested in any of it. I guess it will take him a little while to feel safe in the tank.
I also added my 2nd GSM Clown from my 12 gallon and so far he had kicked my other clowns a$$ but only for a min or so and now seem to be getting along as well as can be expected for maroon clowns. They dont go near each other but are not fighting anymore.

Here are some updated pics of the tank, i moved the rocks around and added my Halides.
Btw there is no aquascaping in that small tank. i just threw those rocks in and they landed where they landed.

everything looks good how do you like that big tank for got?? i know it was a hell of a deal but you got to it before i could! only recommendation would be not to add any groupers or snappers they like to eat everything that will fit in their mouths and sometimes bigger! other then that everything should do fine together exept the maroons until they make peace which for maroons takes a long time. but the setup is looking good, i would try to solve the shark being able to get into the overflow problem before adding in the new one! well good luck
