Will a maxijet 1200 work with a coralife ss 220?
dawman Active Member Aug 4, 2007 #2 No , the 1200 only puts out 295 gallons per hour . That skimmer needs at least a 500 GPH to work efficiently .

darknes Active Member Aug 4, 2007 #4 Yes, you need the airhose...it's what makes a skimmer work; otherwise, you just have a fancy powerhead.

jaejae New Member Aug 4, 2007 #6 also what is the difference between the super skimmer needle wheel and the venturi?
darknes Active Member Aug 4, 2007 #7 Yes, keep it all the way open...the only knob you should need to adjust would be the red one at the top.
