It looks nice!~

I have a 29 Biocube also. Did you upgrade your lighting? I'm only asking that because I saw the clam in there. I'd LOVE to have one of those but I know that with the stock lighting, it's not sufficient to keep one of them.
Also... I'm gonna give you a heads up.... you might get flamed for having that sailfin tang in there. The 29 gallon is too small for a tang. (unless you have a bigger tank to put it in)
But the tank looks great!~

It's a Beauty Phil... Sorry nobody responded previously!
Love the Live Rock... What 'flavor' is it? Is it one or multiple pieces stacked? How long has your Oceanic BioCube 29 been up?
Have you seen the pix of KAT74's BioCube29 from Atlanta? She has a beauty going also!
Congrats!

Thanks for the response, the live rock is Fiji rock, the tank has been set up for about 7 months and is doing great, the lighting is the stock lighting and about the clam, I got it from my LFS ( JJ's Reef & Aquarium) located in Moses Lake Washington. The clam was turning white and losing its color, he gave it to me and I placed it towards the top of the aquarium and it has all of its color back and it is doing excellent. The live rock is in separate pieces, one large piece that weighs about 16 pounds and then some smaller pieces place under the large one, for a total of just about 31 pounds, and about the tang, I have a 55 gallon fish and live rock tank also, he is a small sailfin tang and I put him in the biocube to eat the algae, he loves it and his stomach is bulging, he will be going back to the larger tank soon. Thanks for the comments, and I will be watching for more.

Sounds like a good plan!~

Hi again,
I have another question, has anyone heard about the new oceanic skimmer that fits in the first chamber of the 14 & 29 biocubes. I am going to try one next week when my LFS gets some more in. Just wondering if anyone else has one or has heard how they work. Thanks

I just added the new Oceanic Skimmer made for the 14 & 29 Biocubes, it was very easy to install in the first chamber, and was very easy to adjust the air flow, I just installed it this afternoon and it already has skimmer out about a quarter cup of greenish brown gunk. I also made a new addition to the tank, it is a yellow rose goby, I seen it at my LFS and could not resist, he is hiding in a hole in the rocks right now, but when he comes out I will try and get a better pic of him, here he is hiding in his new home. Let me know what you think and I will be updating everyone on how the new skimmer is working. Thanks.

Tank looks good phil. Just be cautious of that clam. They have the ability to move and being that high on your LR could damage something if it decides too. Its also not the correct lighting for it if you plan to keep it long term.
And lastly you appear to have an anemone on the side of your LR. It is severly bleached, and needs TLC to make a full recovery. Your lighting may not be adequate to rehabilitate an already failing anemone. If, and this is a big if, you can get it to the top of your LR it may stand a bit of a chance but again the lighting system for most anems on the cubes are sub par and typically wont rehabilitate one. Good luck.
