So it's been a couple of months now and my tank is doing great!
Right now I have some live rock, sand, 1 fire shrimp, 1 colored chocolate chip starfish ( I don't have any coral and not really planning on adding anything in the future but maybe some xenia or kenya trees), 1 blue sapphire damsel (yea I know, didn't cycle with him, and I kinda like the little fella), and 1 pink spotted goby.
My fiance is begging me to add another fish and I think he really wants something flashy and that is going to swim all around instead of hiding. What do you all think?
I am unsure. Do I get a pair of percula clownfish, banggai cardinal, or a dwarf angelfish? What other fish would you suggest?
Also- I am pretty sure my starfish is eating right-obviously because it is still alive! But it is all over my tank all day long eating but I tried to spot feed it when it is hanging back on the surface and it seems kind of scared with that. Anyone have any tips or if it ain't broke don't fix it? I mean it seems really healthy but I want to make sure it's not on a daily struggle in my tank because I am not spot feeding it.
I attached some pictures!

Sorry to say that your star will probably eat the corals you want to keep and you do have to feed it because your tank is not natural foods it requires. Try claims on the half shell, chunks of squid or large mysis. As for another fish your damsel will probably kill all but the angel that you mentioned.

I have tried the mysis but he won't eat from my hand so I am hoping he gets it and the other fish aren't eating it all. I mean I see him sucking all around my tank and then leaning back eating the surface stuff. I just don't know how to get him to eat from my hand or a baster - I try and it just floats away. He is quite active and seems healthy so he has to be eating the mysis and other stuff in my tank. I realize he will eat any corals in my tank that is why there are none in there- if I were to put any it would be from a friend and really cheap like a xenia.
Are there any other fish you would suggest? My damsel really doesn't seem aggressive like the others I seen at the lfs. The damsel, shrimp, and goby all sleep/hide in the same corner/rock everyday and I have never seen any issues. If he started bullying and attacking others obviously back to the lfs he would go, but right now he seems pretty content.

Try placing a piece of something right next to him or even push it under 1 of his arms. Keep trying different foods, til you find one he likes. When he is at the top of the tank and leaning back he is eating proteins of the surface of the water.

I placed a dried shrimp under him right after I commented and he completely went nuts about it! Sucked his whole body on top of it and ate it. I placed another one yesterday and he did the same thing. So for right now he really likes dried shrimp but I am going to my lfs to pick up some snails this week and I am going to get him more variety! Thanks!
