thank you for that nissan and i have one last question which will probably be hotly debated lol
Since i am moving from a 30gallon regular tank to a 29 gallon bio cube do i need to cycle it if i use all the LR, LS and water that is already healthy? of course i would let the water settle down before i put fish in but would it work?

and another question... would 108 watts of PC lighting 50/50 be good enough for the corals? because right now on my 30 gallon i have 96 watts with bulbs that are almost two years old! and the corals still look fantastic (i wanna upgrades using nanotuners so i can have sunrise and sunset settings in my tank) and all you halide lovers FORGET IT! i am not sinking my money into expensive ballasts and bulbs that will do the same job as my PCs and the halides will probably burn the corals too

Depends. What kind of coral do you have in the 30 gallon? Do you have any algae growing in there?

no really. halides give you the chance to keep sps and gives your current corals amazing colors. your corals will thrive under MH but its up to you. i dont want you to buy anything you dont want. another thing 108 watts is good for corals as well. you can keep LPS softies and zoas.

OR if you don't want Halides you can get away with T5HO lights
BUT if you are going to keep your pc's...you need to change your bulbs more often
