I would also recommend a refractometer over a hydrometer to measure your tank's salinity...much more accurate (I am not sure which you got).
I really like your aquascape too!

i have a hydrometer my LFS store said it would be a waste of money to buy a refractometer
well ask the LFS why they use a refractometer and when they answer you say that there just a waste of money. lol
No seriously a hydro can be off alot as with a refractometer you can calibrate it and have pin point readings everytime.

Was it air bubbles? It could have been from the return pump (the 3rd chamber where the water leaves the filter) cause water will evaporate and make your return pump run dry. You need to topoff everyday with fresh water cause only the water gose not the salt so mark where the water level should be and then add to that line. And a refractermeter is a GREAT thing to have!!! Your LFS may say no and may not use them but it is WELL worth it. You can find the on E bay for pretty cheap.

Just take the bioballs out and leave them out, let everythin settle for awhile and you should be okay and its normal for some sand to get into these chambers.

Nothing its just diatoms, just let it be it is a common trait of a new tank, and will go away on its own.

I have a ? would marine-max be something good to put into a tank its for disease prevention & life extension my LFS recomended it to me because im fixing to buy my first fish and they said i should use this before adding any fish coral or invertebrate and i have another ? should i do a water change now since ive had the tank for two weeks now or wait two more weeks like my LFS said?

Don't let them persuade you into a bunch of things that are really not needed. Let you tank cycle, add your CUC, let you tank sit for a week or two then go and get your first fish. I personnally would not add that Marine-Max.
JMO though let's see what others say.
