Probably wouldn't see it. If it was hanging in a shadow it would dissapear. I bet they have to use lights to find them.
So far it is very easy to keep. Eats like a little pig and looks very happy and healthy. Always on the look-out for food. If bottomless-pit can be attributed to anything...it would be this little one. I am only going to feed it 2 times a week though. I noticed its belly can extend to where it can't get its little feet if you will down all the way. Guess it is capable is swallowing something near its own size from info I have found on it.
But it has settled in nicely. I think the small tank size and nothing else except the few rics in the pico have given it a sense of security because it doesn't hide anymore but stays out in the open.

Im sure you know more than i do about them, but i have been reading about them. I've read that feeding them too much can actually cause them to stop eating and become unhealthy. So 2 feedings a week sounds perfect!!!

Just looking out

Thanks, appreciate the affirmation that I am feeding it right. I don't know much about them myself.

They are apparently very easy to catch in the wild. Not those exact fish, but their cousing the sargassum fish, which looks more like a bundle of seaweed than that cute little guy. You just look in the seaweed floating on the top of the water in galveston bay and people find lots of them.

Haha, why am I not surprised that your 2 gal is already adorned with florida rics?
Awesome fishy, by the way! I never thought of one of those for a pico inhabitant.

And some zoanthid frags to keep the rics company. Don't see much of the angler except at feeding time so got to look at something.
Course I have gone overboard with the picos too. Just ordered 2 of the 3gls. Don't have a clue what I am going to do with them, but probably rics and zoanthids.

You will be surprised with the pico potential. Right now I have mushrooms, kenyas, pipe organ frag, various zoos, florida and yuma rics, GSP and a few other things. I upgaded my lighting to a 36 watt 50/50 PC and everything is loving it

Very cool little tank. I must have one! Where can I get one & how much (if you don't mind me asking)?
They are online but I can't name any sites. Wish SWF sold them. Think they would sell well. A 3gl is about $60. No, they are not cheap by any means.
Once I get the 3gl mod doen I will post it. I am going to build a small desktop stand and have a mini sumpo within. The tank will have an overflow and return.
