Ok, Scott asked me about my 50G reef tank. Since I haven't really post any pix of it yet I'm going to now. It's been running since early July. I started adding some corals to it about two months ago. Mostly softies but I do have 2 LPS and 2 Maximas in there as well. Everything is doing good and growing. The only thing I've lost so far was a colony of zoas...for whatever reason they just didn't like the environment I guess even though the other ones that I got at the same time are doing great.
Corals:
Orange Eyes Zoas
Gorilla Nipples Zoas
Some blue and purple Zoas
Green Polyps
Neon Green Finger Leather
Frog Spawn
Welso Brain Coral
2 Maxima Clams
Fish

Ocellaris Clown
Powder Brown Tang (still small so no one call the tang police on me, he's going in the 120 before long)
Lawnmower Blenny
Purple Firefish

OMG, Your tank is AMAZING. I love it and it is so well put together.. Your Aquascaping is out of this world.. I can only hope that when I set up my tank it will look as good as the tanks that I have seen on here. I am so jealous also because my favorite Tang is the Powder Brown I want one so bad.. I am just in Aww why you had not posted pics of your tank before.....

Nice Corey, great pictures, funny the name of the second coral you listed. What do you have for lights. Fantastic can't wait to see what you do with your 125. New home for the tang

Thanks guys!
Meow: Those are the orange eyes. They've done really well since I've had them. And yep I could have sworn I seen you post a pic that made me thing your zoos looked awefully farmiliar.
Scott: Thanks, man! The powerder brown is full of character. I probably never really posted pics because up untill a couple of months ago I had only planned on it being a temporary tank untill the other one was done. When we moved I didn't have another stand for it so I had it sitting on an old oak coffee table with the canisters exposed and everything lol. It really wasn't much too look at. But when my freshwater tank crashed and I decided to move it up there I added some more of my rock to it and really liked it. So I wen't out and picked up a used light fixture and started adding more stuff to it. My innitial plan was to break it down when the 120 was finish and use it for a quarantine tank. But I like it so much now I plan on keeping it the way it is.
Al: To the best of my knowledge that's what they are called lol. The fixture is a Coralife 4 bulb 4 x 65W Power Compacts. The two spot lights mounted on the wall are 60W daylight halogens bulbs. Kind of a cheap alternative to MH's but they work. The tank is only 18" tall so realistically with what I have in there I really don't need them. But in the evening when I turn the 10K's off and leave just the actinics and the halogens on they create a really nice shimmer effect in the tank, and with the actinic color it looks really beautiful while they're on. I only wish I could take pictures that do the tank justice, it never looks as nice in pics as it does in person. :( I think another little mini build will be in the works before long. I think you and Shawn have convinced me to try to build an acrylic sump for it so I can hopefull drop the canisters.

I am sure the Powder Brown does have totally a lot of Character, I just want one in my tank so bad, that is why I am thinking of the 90 gal tank, but I think that is still to small for it but if it got to big I am sure I could find someone to buy it from me, but I may not want to part with it after I got it so I think that it just may be out of the question for me. =(

Thank you, Gemmy!
Scott: If you get the 90G I think you'll be ok. The nice thing about the powder browns is that they only max out at 8". Many people keep larger tangs then that like Hippos in 90G tanks and they do fine. If you stick with just one I think it'll be alright as long as you don't overstock the tank with other things.

Corey, Honestly those are great tank shots I can never get good overall shots, my favorite time is when the antinics are on, I actually get a little angry when the lights go off, (mainly because its bedtime, Man you built the overflows with no problem the sump will be no problem for you. Can't wait to see what you do, remember I am always here for drawings.

Scott 1 powder brown in a 90 is doable. If you did some searching around I think you'd be suprised at what some people are successfully keeping together in a 90. Again, they are on the smaller size as far as tangs go. Now a Naso tang in a 90g is a whole nother story. I'd say no way!

So true, you just have to limit what else you put in there

Totally agree, they are swimmers for sure. Mine swimms around the tank in a figure 8 zooming in and out of the little arch that I have in the rock work. He won't even stop long enough for me to get a good picture. I had wanted to add some more rock to the tank but realized I would quickly start blocking off swimming area for him and I don't want to do that. I also won't put anymore fish in the tank untill he's out. He probably produces at least twice the amount of waste as a clowfish. Even once he's in the 120g he's the only tang that I plan on keeping in there. Keep the fish stock to a minumum and get creative with the swimming space and rockwork in your tank and I think you'll be all aces.
