3 gallon eclipse

yeah i was thinking that too, we keep our window open and the tank is going to go right at the window (blinds are always kept closed 24/7 so no extra light) so i think it would be kept cool especially with winter coming but that's mainly at night when the day lights will be off. You dont think it would get too warm with a top on it and the lights right on top of that?

hopefully there isnt too much of a problem because i really would rather not have to mount the lights above the tank, have you seen anyone ghetto rig lights to be mounted above a tank? i dont have the ability to hang the lights so i would need to make a stand, any recommendations on how to do that?

hmm ill have to go check that out. Fortunatly the lfs where i come home for the weekends is fricken huge and has EVERYTHING its like heaven. Otherwise id be screwed because the lfs up at my school sucks : (
thanks for all the help

for your 3 gallon what do you use for flow since its a frag tank? if it really needed in a 5 gallon? if so what would you recommend?

well i had to filters for water movement. i had the fuge filter and a normal one with pad and bioball thing w.e. but i added that recently. doesnt do much at all. but atleast i got movement.
for a 5g i think you can do a small powerhead. idk about the koralia nano

ohhhh haha nice i had just found it before i read your post. I feel like i need a powerhead but all the ones ive seen would blow everything away. Think a filter that puts out like 80 gph would be strong enough?

Don't use the mud, it sucks. It's expensive and doesn't do anything that sugarsized aragonite sand couldn't. As far as replentishing trace elements goes, yeah right, they're liars. miracle mud is horrible!!!!
