I certainly couldn't but I have an infinite respect for them. I always said that teaching is the second most important job.
The devils hand has made a 100% recovery from whatever it was going through. Something pissed it off real good in my main system and it shed for a week or so. Some of the products of its shedding found its way into a beautiful bright green pocillopora and murdered it from the inside out. About half of the colony was lost but is now turning the corner. Just another reason why I will no longer keep mixed reefs.

Thanks partner! I'll play around with the lighting and snap some more pics soon. I'm going to go back to one of the aquaculturists (is that a real word) house tomorrow to trade some sps frags and might take that devils hand. If Janice joins me, I'm sure she will want to get some more softies for "her" tank. I'm going to be adding some stuff to the main tank in the next few weeks.

Thank you! Like I said, I wasn't super excited about having to care for a new tank and although it's come together very nicely and definitely cheaply, my main interest is still in my main tank.
I did consider a dwarf lion for this tank, however I'd like to add some cool inverts like sexy shrimp and pom pom crabs that are small enough to get lost in the 125 never to be seen again. I actually had a pom pom in the main tank and for years it only came out on my fiance's birthday. No lie, it was almost reliable. I haven't seen it for a while now and I'm thinking I gave it away in some LR that I traded.
I've been topping off a good amount of water everyday. I think it's around 3 L /day which is a lot considering I'm not running the halide. I think it's secondary to a lot of surface agitation thanks to the K4. I'm for sure going to have to get an ATO if I plan on keeping this thing.

I'd like to have a dwarf angel. I wanted a flame angel but the wife isn't big on those and this is "her" tank
So maybe a red stripe angel. Other than that, I'm not sure. Like I said, I'd like to have a lot of inverts.

I have a yellow tang in the main tank. Trying to add new colors to the mix. Also want to add fish/inverts that I wouldn't put in the main display (like the dwarf angel). I was originally going to get a frogfish but I'd rather have the inverts. I'd like some fish that you don't see that often. I'm sick of the bread and butter fish.

Goodness no. I'm all for obscure fish but I subscribe to the line of thought that keeps these fish in the ocean and out of the aquarium trade. I guess it's more difficult to find fish that I would find interesting than it is for me to find coral that moves me. I'm pretty sure Janice wants clown fish (it doesn't get more run-of-the-mill if you ask me) but maybe I can convince her to get something other than the plain old Ocellaris or Percula's. If she's hell bent on a clown, what would you guys pick out of the following list:
ORA Midnight Ocellaris
ORA Platinum Percula
ORA Australian Black Percula
ORA Picasso Percula
ORA Snowflake Ocellaris
I guess I would go for a mated pair and try my hand at raising the fry at some point once I've done enough research.

I have a pair of ORA Black Ice clowns and I absolutely I've them! One turned completely black with the white design while the other one hasn't yet, but between the cool design and color, they make a nice addition to my 55.
What about a pistol/goby pair? I love my yasha goby and randalli pistol shrimp. It took them quite a while to not be skiddish, but now they're great.

Blue spotted Toby puffer. Mine never touched inverts or coral and it's not a fish you expect to see in a reef. With the right lighting combo, the blue is beautiful on them

Tommie Lynn, I considered a pistol/goby pair but I'm not sure what the pistol would do for me. It is my understanding that once they burrow that's it, you never really see them. It's definitely a good suggestion and one that I will look into further. How would a pistol shrimp do with pom pom crabs? I know that Janice wants a few of them.
I like the puffer suggestion, as well, but don't think that it would do well with small inverts like the pom poms or sexy shrimp. I'd like to have a few kinds of shrimp and smaller inverts so the pistol/goby pair is right up that alley.
What other cool inverts are there? I like the Knobby starfish. One of the coral farms that is near here sells them and they don't bother any of the corals. I snapped this picture of one of them the last time I was there. It was the first time I've seen one of them and was pumped that they are reef safe.

Maybe some sort of nudibranches or something?

My pistol did hide in the beginning, but now they're out a lot. I have one that is paired with a yasha, they're out all the time, especially once the yasha realized that I was the "food god." I also have one by himself, which is a little more reclusive, but once I found where he was, I see him quite often. They've been with peppermints, cleaner shrimp, harlequin shrimp and Pom Pom crabs and been fine. The Randalli pistol (red and white striped) is very docile. Just keep it fed. The bullseye and tiger are the more aggressive pistols.
My blue spot Toby puffer was a model citizen. Never touched any of my inverts or corals. I'd definitely want to test it out while it's in QT, but most behave. They're one of the nicer puffers.
How about harlequin shrimp? I almost exclusively feed mine asterina starfish, I'm not sure how it would be with the knobby star though.
One invert that I absolutely love is my porcelain anemone crab. It hosted with an acro colony for a long time, although it really popped when it was using the rose bubble anemone as its host.
Flame scallop? I think you could keep one alive!
Feather dusters, marbled sea star?
