I have been shopping around for lights to go on my 30 gal long tank. I have decided to go PC.
here is the Question I can fit 4 55wt pc or 2 96 wt Power Quads on the tank.
is there any difference between the two?
the power Quads are 10,000k/acintic 03/10,000k/acintic 03 configuration
the total wattage would be
192 watts 6.4 wts per gallon
cost of $140.00
on the other hand with PC lights
what would be a good combonation to go with I was thinking
2 55wt acintic 03
2 55wt 10,000k
that would be 220 total watts
7.33 wts per gallon.
cost of $235.90
and I was wandering what wouldnt I be able to keep under these lights excluding clams( they look good but I think I will watch them from afar)
sorry so long
thanks in advance

I would go with the 4x55, but that's a lot of light. You would be able to keep anything under those, I would imagine. I have 2x55 over my 25 and I keep a bubble, brain, frogspawn, fox, colt (that grows like a weed) in my tank

thats what I was thinking but wanted to make sure before I purchased anything its a lot of money to spend and then find out a better setup .

But that 2x96 watt is a great deal. A lot cheaper. I've never see a quad config but it sounds good. Save you money. Is every other bulb tube 10000K then Actinic? 2 bulbs, both have 10000K and Actinic right? I would probably go with that. You can use that easier with Halides later, but that's just m.o.

the tank is actually to small to combine the Power quads and a MH there just isnt enough room above it so I will have to one way or the other on it ..
the power quads are altenate from the 10,000k and acintic 03
