Kruxk, I really couldn't make out the dimensions of your viewports. Is it being made out of wood with 3 display ports? I'm not an engineer so I'm probably totally misunderstanding your plans (I do a LOT of woodwork though, so I'm not totally ignorant to plans LOL).

Looks good to me. Are you planning on a canopy or pendent system? With a canopy you will get some light blockage with that but pendants would be awsome!

thanks wamp
unfortunately I can not use Pedants in my house :(
I have to make a Canopy.
and the lighting system I am thinking about is
4x250 W MH
8x110 W VHO

I like the second revised drawing much better than the first.
Much more open area for lighting and air exchange.
Awesome !!!
When you going to get this tank Krusk ?
That has to be exciting :)

How about 3 400w halides? You have 3 openings, so 3 makes since to me:)

thank you, really
Those are 3" for 2" bulkheads.
As you said Anthem, Glass is better to work with. I think so too, but I'm just worry about the weight.
I will talk to one carpenter tonight. He may be able to build a plywood tank and 1 side glass for me.
Than I will have to redesign the overflow. :) I like the idea of having the overflow on the side. It's easier to access, very nice.
I'm still researching for the wooden tank overflow's designs.
Please show me if you came across any.
Wamp, unfortunately, I have to stay with 250 W MH.
I was thinking about 2x250 W on 1 side and 2x400 on the other side.
I would like to keep softties on 1/2 of the tank and on the other 1/2 will be LPS and SPS.
My aquascape would be some thing like (attached)
about 400-450 lb of live rock total.
I'm in MI, I think I can get some southdown sand. I may need 500 lb of southdown. As of now, I have about 220 lb of live sand in 3 of my tanks. I will trade livesand with some local reefer for more diversity.
My filtration: LiveRock & DSB
sump : hiding equid, place to change water, dose additive etc.
ref: DSB with as many type as I can obtain. (spaghetti, grape, razor etc)
DIY skimmer (maybe Beckket). I'm leaning toward doudle venturin and recirculation.
How is it sound?
anthem,
I have send another "set" just like your to a mod on differnt bb for testing with 150W HQI. I will keep you posted. There are some positive feed back saying that it should not interfer with x10 unit. But I like to hear from you :)
thank you all

take a look, and tell me what do you think about his new design.
I would to go with Glass but with the overflow that I came up with, I don't think Glass can do it.
