Due to an upgrade, my 300 gallon aquarium is for sale. All equipment, plumbing and contents will transition to my new set-up. Included here for $2,400 is the following –
• 300 gallon custom acrylic Tenecor aquarium. 8 years old, very good condition, limited scratches inside (just 2 that I would consider more than a surface scratch), none outside. 96” long x 24” deep x 30” tall. Full-width black overflow on one 24” end, drilled for two 1.5” bulkheads. Clear on two 96” faces and one 24” end. It is currently set up as a see-through peninsula, dividing two rooms. Top has oversized access holes with lids. ¾” sides, no discernable bowing.
• Stand (see photos) – heavy-duty construction of six 4 x 4 posts and a full 2” thick oak wrap around the top. Solid oak front and end, white on back.
• Canopy (see photos) – 24” high with full access to top of tank. Strong, but lightweight construction. Hardwood frame, oak front and end, white on back.
• Reflector – single unit, full length and width of tank. Ultra-reflective, looks like a mirror. Holes drilled for 5 metal halide mogul sockets and 2 sets of endcaps for 72” VHO (lighting not included).
Note: the starfish knobs on the stand and canopy in the photo will not be included. I will replace them with basic knobs to match the hinges - wife’s request, she didn’t ask much to ok the upgrade to a bigger tank
Availability is contingent upon the arrival of my new tank in early November. If interested, I would like a 10% good-faith deposit and the remainder upon pick-up. e-mail me for more info at adweb@insight.rr.com

Thanks Chrome 209. No, I don't have any pics of the filtration. I have a sump and refugium in the basement. The stand has a lot of space so one could easily plumb the sump and refugium into the stand. I had it set up like that at one point.

Well first of all it is my dad who is interested in the tank, second of all you pretty much answered all my questions, and now please tell me if you will be willing to deliver to NY?

lionfish12,
I'm in Lewis Center, just North of Columbus.
Omair2001,
Help me understand what you mean by "...send it to NY" and "...deliver it to NY". The set-up is too large to reasonably crate up and send via common carrier (e.g.Yellow Freight). I would be concerned it would be damaged. Short of you picking it up, I believe the only feasible option would be for you to contract a moving company (e.g.Atlas Van Lines, Mayflower) and have it moved like household goods. I would have no problem with that as long as you coordinated it and it is at your expense.

i realize that you sold your tank, but i wanted to ask you about your lighting. i am afraid of putting in mh's because i am thinking that they will make my tank look too yellow. your tanks lighting made everything look beautiful. what kind of mh's did you have?? and what other lighting did you have? any suggestions for a newbie?
thanks for your help

The tank has the following lighting-
2-400 watt MH, 20,000k XM
2-400 watt MH, 10,000k Hamilton
1-175 watt MH, 20,000k XM
2-6' VHO actinic
I'm not an expert but here is my interpretation

[hr]
The higher the Kelvin rating (10k, 14k, etc.) the more blue and less yellow the light. Bulbs down in the 6,500k range will look more yellow. 10,000k will be close to white. The closer you get to 20,000k, the more blue. I hesitantly did a mix on mine and am very pleased. I attribute this somewhat to the fact that I have a single, end to end, side to side reflector. I believe this allows the light to bounce and mix eliminating striping
I am a big fan of the XM bulbs. When my 10,000k bulbs go, I'll replace them with XMs. Great color, great growth, great price.
Just my .02, hope it helps.
