300 gallon tank

Im considering having a custom 300 gallon tank made and im not sure what demmensions would be best for my stocklist that i want. i wanted 120"long x36" deep and 16" high. would a tank that short look wierd and will it be comfortable for fish? The only reason i dont really want to go bigger is because im already dreading the water changes. For my stock i want:
Humu Humu trigger
Niger Trigger
Pink Tail trigger
Emporor angel
Blueface angel
Zebra moray eel
dragon wrasse
Blond Naso tang
Powder blue tang
dogface puffer

I have a 72x24x17 and wish it was a little taller. Here is a picture, I think you can get the idea on how shallow it looks.

i actually prefer shallower tanks personally, the twin 300's im gonna build when me an my gf/fiance buy our own place are gonna be 96x36x20

I also like shallow tanks, but 16 is a little to shallow for that long of a tank IMO.

what if i make it 19" high? that would put me at around 355 gallons. do you think that would be better?

That would be much better. I think you would really notice the difference.

What happened to the olympic size pool going in the basement?...that was going to be way cooler than a couple of 300's

meh its only 16' across 3' deep for the lagoon jess wants to do 2

one for a indoor koi pond, an one to make it look just like bang guy's

i swear, this is the most evil hobby in the world for my gf

everyone who's done business with them on here has given them rave reviews, check out ccampbell's tank build thread, his 10' tank is a tenecor tank
oh, an i woul dmake ur tank a lil bit wider, go at least 30", more depth is a great thing when viewing from the front, and gives you so much more in the way of aquascaping options

no, u dont lol, jess eventually wants me to have 7-9 tanks up an runnin, plus 2 indoor lagoons, one koi, one saltwater, and an outdoor koi pond, a biggun, an guess who gets the joys of cleaning all these tanks? yours truly

on the original post i listed the demmensions as 120x36x16 so it would be 3 feet wide. on a diffrent note, how are tenacors prices? and do they sell drilled tanks?

LOL you did say that, im sorry man, i coulda sworn it said 24"w lol my bad

and as to their prices, ive been told they are fairly reasonable, there's also a place in minnesota that builds tanks too, but, are you wanting a glass or acrylic tank? me personally, i prefer glass, its a LOT heavier, but, its also a lot harder to scratch, and a lot easier to keep clean

i personaly perfer arcryic tanks, but dont mind having a glass tank if it is neccasary

the only problem i have seen with acrylic is that they do bow after they get some age on them, the tank i got my rock from was a 12 y/o acrylic 100g reef tank, an it was actually starting to separate a lil bit at the top. and it was bowed out pretty good on both sides, but, with glass, its a lot sturdier, albeit, a LOT heavier, but, im guessing you dont plan on ever moving this tank after its set up, so the weight shouldnt be a problem lol

ya i really dont want to have to move a 355 gallon aquarium. im actually in the middle of a move with my 55 gallon reef and that sucks enough. i cant imagine doing that with a tank that big

they have been good to a lot of people. Try glasscages. Someone ordered a tank on a monday and it showed up friday.
